Here is the nuts and bolts. We would like for churches to "adopt" a cabin which means that they finance the projects and provide the work groups to come up and complete the projects.
We will purchase all the material insuring the kind and quality that is required for the environment at 10,000ft, and we will also provide the necessary oversight on each project insuring the kind and quality of work that is required for the safety of campers and to meet all state and county regulations.
Each cabin will have the following projects that need to be "made over": Doors, Beds, Interior paint, flooring, Exterior paint, decks and sidewalks.
Costs/cabin: Doors (steel)-$1,400, Beds (16 mattresses, 2 wood bunkbeds)-$3,000, Interior (paint, flooring, supplies)-$500, Exterior (paint, deck)-$3,000
Room and Board for workers - $20/person/night
Total cost to makeover 1 cabin - $7,900 plus room and board for workers.
